- Underline key words in the question to help you in your listening
- Answer every question, there's no point in leaving ant question blank
- Check your spelling as you will be pinalised if you get it wrong
Speaking tips:
- Try to talks about what you know rather than general ideas.
- Practise speaking at lenght. Talk to yourself on a variety topics. Record yourself and listen back to see if your sound interested. Practice stressing key words to sound more interested.
- It's ok to ask the examiner to repead the question.
- Watch the tense in the question, is it past, present or future? make a note of it.
- If you can't remember in english, try to describe it.
- Spelling is very important. When you learn new words make sure you know how to spell them. Go back and check the spelling of your answer.
- Look at the picture and the title to give you a general idea of the topic, and then look at the quesion.
- Don't waste to much time on one question. If it's too difficult for you go on the next question and come back if you have time.
- Write the correct amount of word, not to few and not to many.
- The best way to improve your vocabulary is to do lots reading.
- Timing is important. you've got 20 minute for the first part and 40 minute for the second part.
